Superstar Salman Khan, who is returning to filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya's production banner Rajshri Productions with the forthcoming film "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo", will kickstart the promotions of the family drama from here.

The actor will travel to the city in Gujarat on Wednesday to attend Garba programmes and enjoy the Navratri festival.

"Salman is very excited to begin the promotions and he is looking forward to playing Garba in Ahmedabad," the spokesperson of the film said in a statement.

He will be joined by his co-star Sonam Kapoor.

After the trailer launch of "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" earlier this month, this will be the first time that Salman will be interacting with the media with respect to the film.
