Sohum Shah has teamed up with filmmaker Hansal Mehta for the latter's next titled Simran.

The duo has recently wrapped the first schedule of the film, along with Kangana Ranaut in New York.

Hansal and Sohum share a very good rapport, bond with each other.

They were often spotted chatting for long hours post pack up. The passion for story telling was a common interest between the two.


But not many people know that Hansal Mehta was one of the first few people to watch Sohum's Ship of Theseus.

After watching the film, Hansal had high regards for Sohum he had some notion that he wanted to collaborate with Sohum in near future.

When Hansal shared this with Sohum, who himself is a very big fan of Hansal's work, and everybody else on set, Sohum was surprised. He felt privileged to work with Hansal.

Both Hansal and Sohum are National Award winners and connect way too well with each other.
