Yesterday a grand premiere of Sachin : A billion dreams which included not only the Bollywood and Cricket fraternity but also people close to the cricketer. The ace cricketer who has given Inida many of its legendary moments publicly owes his early career learnings to his coach Ramakant Achrekar. The bond that the two share dates back to 1984 when Sachin's brother Ajit Tendulkar introduced him to Achrekar, from then on he has been a guiding light in the cricketer's life.

The man who shaped Sachin in his formative years was present at the premiere and the humble student that Sachin is, ensured to have his mentor well looked after. Going above and beyond Sachin Tendulkar personally looked into the comforts of Achrekar.

Sachin Tendulkar ensured there was a ramp to provide effortless access to the auditorium. Says a source who was present at the venue, " It was a humbling sight to watch the Master blaster Sachin at his candid best. On hearing about the arrival of his coach, Sachin hurriedly proceeded to the entrance to receive Mr. Ramakant Achrekar. On greeting his coach, Sachin modestly touch his feet and gently lead the wheel chair clad Achrekar to the screen."


The screening also witnessed the nation's who's who Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, Asha Bhosle, Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Shahrukh Khan, A R Rahman, Sonu Nigam, Gulshan Grover, Farah Khan, John Abraham, Anu Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Aditi Rao Hydari, Anushka Sharma, Zaheer Khan and Sagarika Ghatge, Atul Kasbekar, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Aditya Thackrey, Rahul Johri CEO BCCI and Anurag Thakur former BCCI President, Praful Patel, Kabir Khan and Mini Mathur, Sushant Singh Rajput, Kriti Sanon, among others. The evening witnessed the closest friends and family of Sachin attending the event. The entire Indian cricket team also attended a special screening arranged for them, which received an overwhelming response. Sachin's kids, Sara and Arjun also stood supporting their father. Sachin's brother, Ajit Tendulkar, who saw the spark in him before anyone did, also attended the premiere.A stadium like scenario was seen at the premiere as Sudhir Kumar, one of Sachin's biggest fans, waved the national flag with his body painted in tricolor.

In the midst of such supreme personalities, itwas heartening to see Sachin give complete attention to his mentor.
