Kedarnath has been creating an immense buzz ever since the announcement of the movie. Now as the film is inching closer to its release, the director of the romantic drama gives a huge shout out to every member of the cast and crew of the film.

Talking about his experience of working with the entire team of Kedarnath, Abhishek Kapoor took to Instagram saying," "Introducing a new actor is a huge responsibility, not only in terms of bringing the best out of an actor but also towards a film that can be v demanding and towards other actors who are bringing their best game to the task at hand. Everything can collapse if one of the most imp characters is not up to mark. Abhishek Kapoor also posted about Sushant with a picture that was shot before the film went on floors "On june 16 th, 2013 a massive cloud burst along with the bursting of chorabari lake that sat way up on the mountains above the kedarnath temple, brought down an unimaginable amount of water that eventually destroyed innumerable villages and thousandsn lost their lives. Despite all that destruction the temple stood its ground. This was due to a massive boulder that rolled down and parked it self right behind the temple and protected it.. all the prayers and faith of pilgrims and the power of shiva made that possible.. The makers have released the third song 'Qaafirana" which showcases Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan's blossoming romance.

In the film, Sushant essays the role of a cheerful and hard-working Muslim pithoo who carries the devotees on his back to the Kedarnath shrine for livelihood, while Sara essays the role of a bubbly Hindu devotee who falls in love with her bearer. It is intriguing to see is how love blossoms between them, get hit by caste barriers and eventually gets tangled with the devastating Uttarakhand floods that hit the state in 2013.

Kedarnath marks the debut of Sara Ali Khan, the film also presents the second association of Abhishek Kapoor with Ronnie Screwvala along with Sushant Singh Rajput after Kai Po Che.
