Actress Shireen Mirza popular for playing the role of Simran "Simmi" Bhalla in the television show "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" will now play the role of Doctor. She has also worked in a Web series called Dharamkshetra, on Netflix.

"I'm playing the role of a young doctor who is assigned for her internship to an small hospital in Eerypur. Its a new place, who she encounters, who she meets and what happens to her, is what will revolve in the story. It is 24 hours of her life which she didn't expect. I cant call it a thriller. Or a psychological thriller, or a horror or a drama. It is a genre that I hadn't come across before, and that is what excited me to get associated to it," she said in a statement.

The movie "Eerypur" is written and directed by Shilpa Srivastava, and will be produced by Fundamental Pictures.

Shireen has earlier also appeared in television shows like "Dhhai Kilo Prem", 24 and films like Main Nahin Anna, Not Today and Vartamaan.
