While doing her press tours for the upcoming sci-fi drama 'Mission Mangal', Vidya Balan took the opportunity to talk about her future projects. She will be seen in the Shakuntala Devi biopic as the eponymous Mathematics prodigy. Shakuntala Devi, an already rising talent in the world of numbers came to the world's attention when she was given the title of 'Human Computer' in 1950.

Vidya Balan, who is a formidable actor has the perfect resume for this upcoming project. From the get-go, Vidya Balan has always been at the forefront of strong female portrayals on-screen, be it Krishna, the conniving femme-fatale in Ishqiya (2010), Silk Smita, the sultry southern-siren in The Dirty Picture (2011) and Vidya Bagchi, a grieving woman hell-bent on revenge in Kahaani (2012), she has brought a previously alien chaotic feminity on the screen, ground zero for more roles and stories for women.

The shooting schedule for the film is segmented, taking place in London and Mumbai; coming September. Vidya Balan has not had a lot of time, but she is ready to enter the skin of Shakuntla Devi nonetheless. She is to take some time off post 'Mission Magal' promotion before leaving for the biopic preparation. With an Indira Gandhi web-series also in the works, Vidya's stock seems on the rise; with no intentions of stopping anytime soon.
