P.V. Sindhu did the nation proud by winning the BWF Championships recently. She defeated Japanese shuttler Nozomi Okuhara 21-7,21-7 in the final, becoming the only Indian woman to win a world championship title.

Now that she's a national subject of pride and curiosity, it was about time that the entertainment industry would come knocking at her door. And it has, as actor Sonu Sood will serve as the patron for the PV Sindhu biopic. He will not only produce but also play the role of Sindhu's coach Pullela Gopichand.

In a recent interview, the ace shuttler expressed her desire of actress Deepika Padukone playing her in the biopic. Sindhu believes that the actress, herself an exceptional badminton player would justice to her legacy. While the final word rests with the makers of the film, but Sindhu has definitely lanted an interesting idea in our heads!
