'Mozart of Madras' AR Rahman created history in 2009 when he became the first Indian musician to win an Oscar for his work in Slumdog Millionaire. While `Jai Ho` was declared the 'Best Original Song', the album won the 'Best Original Music Score Award'. AR Rahman composed nine songs for Sushant Singh Rajput's last film Dil Bechara that premiered on Disney+Hotstar on June 24th. Being such a legend no one would think about discriminating with AR Rahman in Bollywood but now the musician has revealed some shocking statements about the dirty politics of Bollywood and also answered why he doesn't compose more music for Bollywood movies.

In an interview with Radio Mirchi, AR Rahman said, `I don't say no to good movies, but I think there is a gang, which, due to misunderstandings, is spreading some false rumours. When Mukesh Chhabra came to me (for Dil Bechara), I gave him four songs in two days. He told me, 'Sir, how many people said don't go, don't go to him (AR Rahman) and they told me stories after stories.'

He further added, `I heard that, and I realised, yeah okay, now I understand why I am doing less (work in Hindi films) and why the good movies are not coming to me. I am doing dark movies, because there is a whole gang working against me, without them knowing that they are doing harm."

Tweeting an excerpt from the interview, Shekhar Kapur, wrote, `You know what your problem is @arrahman? You went and got #Oscars. An Oscar is the kiss of death in Bollywood. It proves you have more talent than Bollywood can handle...`. After his tweet, AR Rahman immediately quoted him and tweeted, "Lost Money comes back, fame comes back, but the wasted prime time of our lives will never come back. Peace! Let's move on. We have greater things to do." Check out his post here -

Well, post Sushant Singh Rajput's sudden demise several Bollywood celebrities are stepping forward and admitting the existence of B-camps. Now, Rahman's statement gives one more chance to netizens to troll Bollywood biggies for their grating behaviour towards certain hardworking celebrities.

On AR Rahman's work front, then recently he co-wrote and produced the film '99 Songs' and it is the Indian's first soundtrack album to use 'Dolby Atmos' technology, and with this Rahman has become the first Indian artist to create a music album with this technology.
