On Friday, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) probing the drug angle in the Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide case arrested Sushant's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty's brother Showik and Rajput's house manager Samuel Miranda. The cops have also seized Rhea's old phone from her residence. They have also taken six laptops in custody.

According to a leading news portal, Showik Chakraborty has named Rhea Chakraborty as the 'drug procurer' in the case and confessed about procuring drugs to his sister. The officials are also likely to summon new people in the case as allegedly both Samuel and Showik have confessed other big names during their grilling sessions.

Both brother-sisters & manager are booked under sections that pertain to production, manufacture, possession, sale, purchase and transport of narcotic or psychotropic substance and abetment and conspiracy under the NDPS Act. The offense carries a maximum punishment of one year and a fine.

On the other side, Rhea Chakraborty said that she has never consumed drugs in her life. However, in her alleged chats which were discovered by NCB, clearly indicates that she was discussing MDMA (Ecstasy) and marijuana. Although Rhea claimed that late Sushant Singh Rajput was addicted to marijuana and she tried to curb that habit of his, he did not listen to her ever. Even Samuel Miranda accepted that parties were held twice a week where Sushant smoked marijuana. Now, let's see whether the trio will be sentenced for criminal acts or not.
