After directing Shivaay in 2016, Ajay Devgn is once again stepping into his next direction with his upcoming film 'Mayday'. The actor-director, who was shooting for his war drama film 'Bhuj: The Pride of India', has now officially kicked-off the shoot of "Mayday'.

Ajay has stepped into the shooting floor in Hyderabad where proper safety precautions are being taken care of. Earlier reports were there that several sets have been formed in Hyderabad and are all supervised by the producer of the film Mayday. Today, Ajay Devgn took it to Twitter and revealed the release date of the film along with the start of the shooting. Ajay also informed that Mayday will be a start-to-finish shooting schedule.

Here is what he wrote, "Happy to officially begin MayDay in a start-to-finish shooting schedule. Seek blessings from the Almighty and my parents. Nothing is complete without the support of all my fans, family and well-wishers. Releases on 29th April 2022."

Actress Angira Dhar, who was spotted in films like Love Per Square Foot and Commando has also roped in for playing a pivotal role in the film. Reportedly, Rakul and Amitabh will join the shooting in mid-December and the team will reunite in Mumbai for another schedule where Amitabh will join them.

Ajay Devgn will also be seen acting in this thriller-drama that stars Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh in pivotal roles. The film will be releasing on 29th April 2022.
