Promising newcomer Rasha Thadani graces the cover of Femina’s February 2025 issue, embodying the spirit of a rising star in Indian cinema. The Cover Story perfectly captures her transition from student to leading lady, her passion for acting, and the dynamism she brings to her craft. As she steps into the limelight with her debut film, Azaad, Rasha has already made waves with her electrifying dance number, Uyi Amma, cementing herself as Bollywood’s freshest sensation. In an exclusive chat with Femina, she gets candid about her early experiences from the sets of Azaad, growing up as a star kid, gaining valuable life lessons from her mother Raveena Tandon, and more.

Recalling her experiences during the filming of Azaad, Rasha shares, “I was 17 when we shot, so, somehow, I was treated like a child in many ways.”

About her first day of shooting, she admits, “After months of prepping, I was thinking, okay, I got this. I go on my first day of shoot, and I’m like, I know nothing! That was the level of nervousness.”

Growing up as the daughter of Padma Shri awardee Raveena Tandon, Rasha acknowledges that comparisons are inevitable: “It has started a little bit and I’m sure there will be more. I think it’s part and parcel of life. For me, she has reached a legendary level in life which I don’t think I can reach.”

Reflecting on her mother’s unwavering support and guidance throughout the filming, Rasha reveals, “She spoke to me every day, checking in on how things were going, but her advice was more from a personal perspective – rather than as an actor.”

Beyond her professional life, Rasha cherishes the vibrant dynamics of her family, describing it humorously as “madness – the four of us together. Complete and utter madness. Chhaya didi and Ranbir are perhaps a little calmer, but Pooja didi and I, we can fight and argue as a team against them.”

As she embarks on a promising career ahead, Rasha remains optimistic and resilient, noting, “We should know that not everything is going to go well all the time. My thought is – there will always be a next time.”

Find out more about Rasha Thadani’s journey, her insights on navigating the highs and lows of a career in cinema, and her aspirations in Femina’s February 2025 issue.
