As a token of gratitude to the medium of music that has earned him fame and fortune, Himesh Reshammiya is planning to build a chain of institutes. A true Gujarati at heart, the singer-composer-actor has decided to start the first institute in his home state.

Incidentally, Himesh also met Gujarat's Chief Minister Narendra Modi recently to discuss his plans. Our source adds that Himesh has checked out a few places in cities like Ahmedabad, Surat, Baroda.

While Himesh was unavailable for comment, Rakesh Upadhyay, chief creative director of his film and music company confirmed meeting Modi at his official residence in Gandhinagar.

He said, "Mr Modi assured us complete cooperation for our music school in Gujarat. The state-of-the-art music school that we are planning is on a very grand scale and noted music celebrities will be invited to be the visiting faculty."
