So far Gulshan Deviah has etched out only negative characters on the big screen and for the first time he will be seen in the lead in Pooja Bhatt's production venture "Cabaret". He feels that it is his toughest role so far.

"I am playing the lead in 'Cabaret' and this is one of the most challenging and difficult roles of my life. (But) I am confident of the film as Pooja has shown immense faith in me. The film will go on floors by November," Gulshan told IANS.

Delhi-based ad filmmaker Kaustav Narayan will go behind the camera to direct the film, his first.

Seen in "Shaitan", "Hate Story", and "Dum Maaro Dum", Gulshan has signed two films with Pooja.

"Yes, I have signed two films with Pooja Bhatt. One is 'Cabaret' and I am not allowed to talk about my next film. The second film is yet untitled."

Meanwhile, the actor will also be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Ram Leela", which releases Nov 15.
