Mary Kom, the international pugilist and winner at the Olympics says that she feels as if Priyanka Chopra resembles her. A biopic is being made on the life and sport of Mary. The role of the celebrated pugilist is given to Priyanka Chopra which came under criticism because a north-eastern person would have resembled more with Mary.

But then Mary who hails from Manipur realised that it is not the facial impression that makes an impact but it is the story and the person's ability to act which is paramount.


Priyanka had visited her house and met all the family members and even her grand mother who was 100 years old. Mary says that Priyanka is so open and frank and like her sings well. Priyanaka appreciated that in such circumstances she made it to the top.
