It was Amitabh Bachchan who completed dubbing for Mahabharat 3D in just one and half hour, recalls the director Amaan Khan. The director also expressed his opinion about other stars with whom he worked.

Amaan spelled out anecdotes and said Big B came with his copy of the dialogues for dubbing that were given to him the first time they met along with remarks and notes written on it. "He (Amitabh Bachchan) was so good that he dubbed his part in just one and a half hours!"

The director who had made his debut back in 2006 with an animation film 'Lord Krishna- Ayo natkhat Nanda' is all praise for Anupam Kher who has lent his voice for the character of Shakuni. "He (Anupam Kher) came fully prepared for dubbing. His body language and tonality was spot on and we tried our best to add that to his character", says Amaan.

The big star cast that everyone is going ga-ga over includes the likes ofVidya Balan, Ajay Devgn, Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee and Shatrughan Sinha. Amaan says he along with the producers of 'Mahabharat 3D' tried to get actors whose real life qualities they thought could be imbibed in the character they were playing. For instance, "Ajay Devgn is soft spoken in real life so he was the obvious choice for Arjun. For the character of Bheem, we could think no further than strongman Sunny Deol", says Amaan.


"If Duryodhan is Jackie Shroff then to play his best friend Karan, Anil Kapoor immediately came to our mind", continues Amaan.

Talking about famous mythologies that form the backbone of most of the animation films in India, Amaan questions "Why shouldn't we make mythology based animation films? They are familiar texts so why not? Hollywood also sticks to themes like pirates and toys for their films because people there are familiar with them".

Finally, disclosing his future projects, Amaan says it is too early to say anything but signs off by saying he is working on a "live action psychological drama film".
