As the release date for 'Kaanchi' draws closer, the makers of the film have been busy promoting the movie enthusiastically. Well known director Subhash Ghai, along with the cast' has recently been seen on two of the most popular shows on Indian Television today - Dance India Dance Lil' Masters and Comedy Nights with Kapil. They have been connecting with their fans and spreading the word about the movie's release.

Subhash Ghai and Mishti were present at both the shows, with Karthik Aryan joining them for Dance India Dance and Mithun Chakraborty for Comedy Nights with Kapil. The viewers of Dance India Dance Lil' Masters witnessed a memorable performance by the stellar director, when one of the contestants requested him to teach her a few steps from his hit movie 'Ram Lakhan'. Here, Subhash Ghai also announced the name of the contestant who would get a chance to feature in his next film.


At Comedy Nights with Kapil, the team had a blast on the sets, singing and dancing to promote the musical drama and even answering audience questions. Mithun danced with enthusiastic fans in the audience, flaunting his signature steps.

Directed by Subhash Ghai, 'Kaanchi' is the story of an innocent rural beauty and her fight against power. Starring Rishi Kapoor, Mithun Chakraborty, Kartik Aaryan, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Rishabh Sinha and introducing Mishti, the musical drama is produced by Mukta Arts.

The film is slated to release on 25th April, 2014.
