As the Preity Zinta- Ness Wadia controversy picked up pace, a section of news reports suggested that Lara Dutta, an ex girlfriend of the Bombay Dyeing scion, shares a strained relationship with him. Despite they having dated each other in the past, Lara had allegedly said that there is no love lost between them, and that she was happy Preity Zinta had taken action against him.


The truth, in this case, is quite different. A friend close to Lara Dutta tells us, `Lara and Ness are on decent, cordial terms and share a warm friendship. I quote Lara when I say, `We share a relationship of mutual respect till today.` They had liked each other very much in the past, and their split was amicable. Ness and Lara have never shared negative vibes.

Sources close to Lara also report that she hasn't reached out to Preity Zinta over her accusations, and is never in touch with the actress. Clearly, a mother and a wife, Lara prefers to steer clear of unneeded controversies.
