Actor Ali Fazal, who features in Indo-American production "For Here or To Go?", says the project was challenging for him and that he's looking forward to its release in the New Year.

The reality-based drama film also stars Melanie Kannokada, Omi Vaidya, Amitosh Nagpal and Rajit Kapur in pivotal roles.

"'For Here or To Go?' is inspired from true events. Vineet Sinha, the producer of the film, is solely responsible for having me on the board of this challenging project which has a fairly new team taking charge," Ali said in a statement.

"I'm quite happy and looking forward to its release later next year," he added.

Directed by Rucha Humnabadkar, the film is said to be gearing up for a premiere at an international film festival early 2015.

Seen in Indian films such as "3 Idiots", "Fukrey" and "Bobby Jasoos", Ali, 28, will soon be seen in "Khamoshiyan".

He is also making his Hollywood debut with a role in the action thriller "Furious 7".
