Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has extensively shot Mirziya in varied locations in Rajasthan.Mirziyais the director's first ever love story. He did an extensive recce for the film and wanted to shoot the film in a place which can lend itself to the script.

They scouted for locations and locked on many unexplored destinations in Rajasthan. It was a 2.5 months long shooting schedule, shot across various cities of Rajasthan.

The entire team had been shooting 14-16 hrs each day. The place, the weather and the costumes are all part of Rakeysh's storytelling.

Rakeysh has a unique way of rendering the script. In spite of the being extremely arduous, the shoot has also turned out to be very productive.
