It is always awkward when the past and present come face-to-face. Buzz is that Saif Ali Khan and his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan's ex flame Shahid Kapoor avoided each other during the opening ceremony of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Saif, who was hosting the show, apparently kept his distance when the other Bollywood stars Hrithik Roshan, Anushka Sharma, Farhan Akhtar and Shahid were hanging out together backstage. It was only after Sasha moved away that Saif joined them.

At one point, however, the two did come face-to-face, and onlookers suggest that Saif congratulated Shahid on his impending marriage. All's well that ends well.
